Speak, rest, and rethink work: March updates 🎤

Andrea Toole

ADHD COACH & EDUCATOR

Hi Reader,

Public speaking used to terrify me.

When I was 9 years old, I froze before uttering a word of my speech at my sister’s bat mitzvah. In front of a room full of family and friends, I couldn’t do it. My sister finished reading it for me.

I forgot about that moment for years.

So when I received an invitation to speak at the Beyond Corporate Burnout Summit, I had a choice: decline quietly—or try again.

I chose to try again.

Truthfully, I'd wanted to try again for a while. My podcast and videos were warm-ups.

Beyond Corporate Burnout Summit

March 17–19, 2026
Free virtual event

I’ll be presenting “Three design shifts that make work feel lighter without lowering standards.”

The summit features 17 coaches, practitioners, and leaders exploring burnout recovery and sustainable ways of working.

What the summit explores

• burnout recovery and stress physiology
• nervous system support and boundaries
• identity shifts and midlife transitions
• sustainable ways of working and living

New podcast: ADHD, authority, and power at work

A new episode of PRIMED for ADHD dropped this week.

In this episode, I explore ADHD from both sides of workplace authority—what happens when you report to power and what happens when you hold it as a manager.

The episode covers:

• power dynamics, hierarchy, and stress responses
• the gap between effort and how performance is perceived
• rejection sensitivity in workplace feedback
• leadership blind spots for ADHD managers
• why psychological safety improves performance for entire teams
